Skunk 91, from Bodhi seeds (pictured left) is without a doubt the nastiest plant I have grown or smoked.  A cross between an old privately held RKS and an elite Chemdawg cut, she is a big, black, stinky bitch.  I experienced two main phenotypes in this line, one a viney and runny chemdawg type with extremely high yields, and the other a well yielding but less stretchy more indica RKS dominant RKS phenotype.

All shared a spectrum of extremely rank and foul smells with notes of meat, cheese, ammonia, and skunk, as well as a very uppy but extremely fun sativa high that lasted for several hours.  The strain, however, was intended for outdoor growing, and she can be kind of a finicky bitch inside.  

This cross, utilizing the most foul smelling Skunk 91 male and my LA Confidential mother plant, is an attempt to bring some indoor civility to the Skunk 91, and enhance the spectrum of the high without sweetening the taste.

The LA Confidential mother plant I use is from the original regular seed release of LA Confidential by DNA Genetics.  In first seed growth, she exhibited a whorled leaf mutation, however grew out of this before reaching sexual maturity.  This mutation has not been observed in any clones from the original seed mother.  An exceptionally slow grower in vegetative state, this should be sped up by the exceptionally fast vegging Skunk 91, which in turn should benefit from the both the exceptional sturdiness and stockiness of the LA Confidential, as well as the ease of growth of the LA Con, even under extreme stress no intersex behavior has been observed on this mom.  Some extremely Skunk 91 phenotypes of this strain may be vulnerable to intersex behavior brought on by either light leaks or overfeeding, as these are traits in the RKS dom Skunk 91 phenotypes; however the partial goal of this cross is to reduce this behavior overall, and any LA Confidential or 50/50 phenotypes should be quite stable.

The flavor of the LA Confidential used can be best described as kushy.  Very similar to the Bubba and SoCal Master.  I'm not good at describing this particular taste, but if you've had Bubba this is very similar.  There's no fruity or sweet notes, instead it has a very bold and dark flavor, which I'm hoping will enhance the Skunk 91 without taking away from the general nastiness of that strain.  The efffects are at first euphoric, but quickly turn narcotic either over time or after smoking a little too much, and it can quickly become bedtime.  Excellent pain relief and sleep aid has been reported by patients using the flower and tincture made from this mother plant.  She grows like one giant baseball bat of buds, with training she can grow at most 2-3 smaller baseball bat side branches.  I have never topped her because of her extremely slow growth rate and minimal stretch (approx .5x) in flowering.  While some extremely LA Confidential dominant phenotypes in this cross may exhibit this slow rate of growth, the Skunk 91 is an exceptionally fast growing and vigorous plant that easily stretches 2x or more during flowering, so hopefully most phenotypes will exhibit a reasonable marriage between the characteristics of both parents.  

This strain has just entered initial testing, but flowering times are expected to range from 8 weeks for the LA Confidential dominant plants to 10-11 weeks for Skunk 91 dominant phenotypes, and hopefully some ~9 week phenos that have good characteristics from both parent strains.
